Coalition for International Justice

General Introduction

The Coalition for International Justice (CIJ) is an international, non-profit organisation that supports the international war crimes tribunals for Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia, and criminal and transitional justice initiatives for East Timor, Sierra Leone, Cambodia, and Sudan.  CIJ initiates and conducts advocacy and public education campaigns, targeting decision-makers in Washington and other capitals, media, and the public.

In conjunction with other non-governmental organisations around the world, CIJ helps focus and maximise the impact of individual and collective advocacy with regard to international and hybrid tribunals.  In the field, CIJ provides practical assistance on legal, technical, and outreach matters to the tribunals and other justice initiatives.

CIJ has offices in Washington, D.C. and The Hague.
