Organisations
International Criminal Law Services (ICLS) provides legal as well as technical training, advisory and support services in order to ensure accountability for war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. Its clients and the beneficiaries of its services include national, hybrid and international courts, judges, prosecutors, defence counsel, court registries, governmental authorities, armed forces, non-governmental organisations and businesses. Through its services, ICLS hopes to contribute to the realisation of international criminal justice and, in countries and regions at risk and transitional and post-conflict societies, to the restoration and strengthening of peace, democracy, the rule of law and reconciliation.
The multilingual personnel and expert consultants of ICLS and the members of the organisation’s Board of Directors and Advisory Board have extensive experience in the fields of international criminal, humanitarian and human rights law, judicial reform, the rule of law and transitional justice, gained while working for or with various national, regional, international and non-governmental organisations around the globe.
ICLS commenced its activities in 2005. Headquartered in The Hague, it is a not-for-profit, independent non-governmental organisation.
