Presentation of the case
Dragan Damjanović was accused of committing murders, torture, rape, enforced disappearance and persecutions, between July 1992 and January 1993, during a widespread and systematic attack of the Republika Srpska Army (RSA) against the Bosnian population from Vogošća area.

He has been charged with crimes against humanity including (1) murder, (2) enforced disappearance, (3) torture, (4) rape, and (5) persecution. The Accused pleaded not guilty and on 15 December 2006, the Court rendered the first instance verdict, finding Dragan Damjanović guilty of crimes against humanity and sentencing him to 20 years' imprisonment. In second instance, this sentence was modified to 20 years long term imprisonment.
