Editorial Board
The editors are responsible for regularly updating the news and events sections of the Portal, ensuring the quality and continued relevance of the research section and moderating the forums.
They are also active in the editorial work of the Hague Justice Journal.
Editor in Chief
Harry Post is a graduate of the University of Amsterdam and holds a PhD from Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada. He is Professor of International Law at the Università degli Studi di Modena, Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza, where he works on a research project funded by the Italian Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca Scientifica e Tecnologica entitled ‘Variety in the Enforcement by Individuals of International Environmental Rights’. In previous years he was, inter alia, Professor of International Law at the University of Exeter, UK, where he still is Honorary Professor, Adjunct Professor at the Political Science Department of the University of Victoria, Canada, and lecturer and senior lecturer at the Universities of Amsterdam and Utrecht. He has held several visiting professorships and was research fellow at the Max-Planck Institut in Heidelberg, Germany and Leverhulme Fellow at Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London.
He has published widely in International and European Law; his current research focuses on fundamental subjects of international law, human and humanitarian rights, and environmental law. He was Editor and General Editor of the Netherlands Yearbook of International Law, has been chairman of trustees of a large environmental NGO, has experience in journalism and has run six marathons.
Nicholas Walbridge, LL.B, BA (History), MA (Political Science) graduated from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, in 2005. Having completed a year studying International Law at the University of Groningen, Nicholas returned to the Netherlands in November 2005 to take up a position with the Hague Justice Portal. In 2007, Nicholas graduated from Leiden University cum laude with a Master's in Political Science. His thesis analysed American foreign policy responses to humanitarian crises in the post-Cold War era, specifically vis-à-vis Somalia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Kosovo. Since July 2007, Nicholas has been a full-time Editor at the Hague Justice Portal.
Vincent Pouliot has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the Institute of Political
Studies of Grenoble, France. He participated in an exchange program with the National University of Singapore and has a Master of Law and Political Science in International Regulations from the University of Nice. Vincent also has an International University Diploma (International Humanitarian Law) from the International Institute of Humanitarian Law of San Remo, Italy.
Claire Masouy LL.M, LL.B, graduated in law at the University Laval, Canada (including one semester exchange at the University of Victoria, Canada). She then completed a Master's programme at the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands, specialising in International and European Public Law. She also has a diploma in Cooperation Transfrontier Law from the University Lyon 2 Lumière, France.
Anna de Vries is currently pursuing a Master's in International Relations and Diplomacy at Leiden University/Clingendael. She is from the United States and majored in French Literature at Mount Holyoke College (Massachusetts), from which she graduated in 2001. For the next five years, she worked in the fields of event planning and foreign direct investment for the French government in Chicago.
Jed Odermatt is currently studying a Master's in International and European Public Law (Human Rights Law) at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. He graduated from Flinders University, South Australia in International Relations (Hons) and Law (Hons) and studied human rights law on exchange at the University of Copenhagen. Jed is currently writing his thesis on the regulation of private military companies and international human rights law.
Nelly Corbin graduated in Law at the Bordeaux University, France. She then specialized in international criminal law through an exchange programme at Turku University, Finland. In Brussels, she completed a Master's programme in European affairs. Nelly is currently finishing her studies at the Paris Bar School. Recently, she has been working for a defence counsel before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
