From 22 to 27 March 2009, The Hague will play host to the Harvard World Model United Nations student conference which is set to attract over 2,000 students from some 40 different countries.
The student organisation United Netherlands will organise this international student conference together with The Municipality of The Hague, Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Radboud University, Nijmegen.
The Hague was in competition with a number of other cities including Paris to host the conference. The programme for the Harvard WorldMUN 2009 includes the topics of water management and the importance of the international rule of law.
United Netherlands was instrumental in winning the bid to host the Harvard WorldMUN 2009 conference in The Hague.
