Combatant Status Review TribunalHuzaifa Parhat v. Secretary of Defense was the first case to review a decision made by the Combatant Status Review Tribunal under the Detainee Treatment Act of 2005. The Court of Appeal (United States Court of Appeal for the District of Columbia Circuit) reviewed the decision that Huzaifa Parhat, a detainee at the United States Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay, is an enemy combatant. The Court held that the Tribunal’s decision was invalid because it could not be made on the available evidence.
