Dr. Nils Melzer, of the ICRC Legal Division will give the next HILAC lecture, beginning at 19.30 on 16 September, on the concept of direct participation in hostilities. You are cordially invited to attend the next HILAC lecture at the T.M.C. Asser Instituut on what International Humanitarian Law says about protected persons, deportations, and occupied territory.

The topic for the lecture will be "The Concept of Direct Participation in Hostilities" with the speaker being Dr. Nils Melzer, of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Legal Division.

The evening lecture is part of the Hague Initiative on Law and Armed Conflict's (HILAC) occasional Law and Armed Conflict lecture series.
