A Trial Chamber of the ICTY has issued an Order in lieu of an indictment against Florence Hartmann on two counts of contempt of the Tribunal.

Florence Hartmann presenting her book Peace and Punishment (here in the Bosnian edition), in Sarajevo, in 2007.The Order, issued on 27 August, alleges that Hartmann authored text published in 2007 and 2008 that disclosed information relating to confidential decisions of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Appeals Chamber in the case of Slobodan Milošević. From 2000 until 2006, Florence Hartmann served as the spokesperson for the former Chief Prosecutor of the ICTY, Carla Del Ponte.
