Radovan KaradzicIn the case against Radovan Karadžić, the Prosecution has indicated that it will submit a revised version of the current operative indictment against the accused by Monday, 22 September 2008. It did not give any further details during Wednesday's status conference before Judge Bonomy at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).

On Friday 29 August, the former Bosnian Serb leader, Radovan Karadžić, had refused to enter pleas to the 11 charges he currently faces, including genocide and conspiracy to commit genocide. The present indictment dates from 28 May 2000.

At the present time, Radovan Karadžić faces, inter alia, charges of genocide for the murder of some 8,000 Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica in 1995.

Karadžić has indicated that he will represent himself in the trial. A starting date for the trial has yet to be set.
