On Thursday 9 October at 19.30 the Swiss writer and journalist Pierre Hazan will speak about his latest book, entitled “Juger la guerre, juger l’Histoire”, published recently in French. The lecture has been organised by the Alliance Française in The Hague.
Pierre Hazan has been working as the correspondent in Geneva for the French newspaper Libération and the Swiss daily Le Temps. He also holds a Master’s in Strategic Studies from Aberdeen University (UK). He has been focusing his research on Transitional Justice.
Pierre Hazan’s analyses are based on both academic research and on the direct experience of several international conflicts throughout the world (including those in the Middle-East, the former Yugoslavia and the Great Lakes region of Africa) that he covered as a journalist.
Pierre Hazan has also written the highly-acclaimed book "Justice in a Time of War: The True Story behind the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia" (translated from the French "Justice face à la guerre").
