"On the 3rd May 2017, the LAW Programme of The Hague University of Applied Sciences will be organising the 6th edition of its annual conference and Job & Study Fair. This is the main event for students to get in contact with the employers and universities for their career and next studies.
Students and Faculty of the LAW Programme will be welcoming on a full day representatives from more than 15 universities and law schools and professionals from more than 35 organisations for networking, informing on possible study and career opportunities linked with the International and EU law studies.
Professionals from international courts, EU Agencies, Non-Governmental Organisations, Law firms and local authorities will come informing the students on possible recruitments, sharing the experiences of working in some organisations. Furthermore, universities from worldwide will be informing you on their LLM studies, and inform you also about their exchange programme.
This year, more than 70 LAW Alumni will travel to attend the event, willing to talk and advise on how to obtain an internship or job opportunity at their employer. They come reconnecting with their former university and networking with current students. Video testimonies by LAW alumni from New York, London and Hong Kong will underline the opening speech of the official ceremony. Followed by an video interview with His Excellency Secretary General of OECD Jose Angel Gurria and concluded by a panel discussion between Deans and Professors from Harvard Law School, Georgetown University (USA), Sorbonne Law School (FR), Beijing Normal University (CH) and The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
After a preparation of the students in networking and the communication in recruitment, the ENE 2017 is the opportunity to have a large overview of the legal careers that LAW students may undertake after graduation in both The Netherlands or abroad, supporting their employability. The research initiatives and the exchange of best practices are also important themes of this 6th edition of the event. Therefore, some parallel initiatives are being arranged to exchange ideas and knowledge.
The event is organised by the Faculty of the LAW Programme of The Hague University of Applied Sciences with the support of BRV Faculty Dean Liduine Bremer, the Programme Manager Prof. Dr. Rob van Otterlo, the Team Leaders Joris Sprakel and Charlotte Irwin, the main organisers Aurélien Lorange, Hyun-Ju Park, Hesther Calis, Miera Montero, Jonas Fechtner, Maria della Porta Roddiani and the other members of the LAW Programme. This event is coordinated with the help of the Student Ambassadors of the LAW Programme and the student bodies ‘ILSA Chapter’ and ‘Corax Law Debate Society’, also partners of the event."
