Mladić and Karadžić at large 12 years on 25 Jul 2007
On the 12th anniversary of the indictment against Mladić and Karadžić, the ICTY Prosecutor has renewed calls for the fugitives to be brought to justice.

International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), The HagueOn 25 July 2007, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Carla Del Ponte, appealed to Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina (especially the entity of the Republika Srpska), and Montenegro, to do everything possible to locate and arrest the four remaining ICTY fugitives. The statement was made on the anniversary of the first indictments issued against Ratko Mladić and Radovan Karadžić. Del Ponte also called on the international community to maintain and increase their support of the ICTY.

Ratko Mladić and Radovan Karadžić have been indicted for genocide, violations of the laws and customs of war and crimes against humanity. Most notoriously, they are charged with the genocide carried out in and around Srebrenica from 13 July to 19 July 1995 in which up to 8,000 Bosnian Muslim prisoners were captured and summarily executed.  Both men remain at large.
